The Two-Spirited People of Manitoba began in 1986 in Winnipeg. A group of concerned community members came together to support each other and plan community events. We became a non-profit organization in September 2007.
2SPM is governed by a board of directors who serve for two-year terms. The current directors are Albert McLeod www.albertmcleod.com, Peetanacoot Nenakawekapo, Darrell Chippeway, Dr. Chantal Fiola, and Charlotte Nolin.
The 2SPM provides educational workshops about the history and contemporary experiences of Indigenous LGBTQI/Two-Spirit people. Please contact us if you would like to book a workshop.
We are a community-based organization focused on helping Indigenous LGBTQ/Two-Spirit people improve their lives. With the help of our tireless volunteers, we provide awareness workshops, advocate to prevent homophobia and transphobia, and organize community events.
Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We're excited to have you join the team!
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
We are dedicated to improving the lives of those in our community. Your contribution today helps us make a difference.
